The weather in the southeastern U.S. is currently even more unpredictable than usual. I’m use to mild winter’s, but the past few months have felt more like summer than winter. With temperatures so high, my style has morphed into a combination of fall or spring with a few winter pieces like scarfs or a light sweater. It’s even harder to pack for a trip with this weather. What if the temps drop drastically for one day?? Oh wait, it did drop the last day of our trip. Thank goodness I had the jacket and boots I got for Christmas. They may be my favorite items in my closet.
I used this trip to experiment with my style using a limited number of pieces. Yes, I’m going to bring up my intentional wardrobe. Partly because I’m so excited about the pieces and outfits I’ve been wearing; and partly because I’ve enjoyed the process. Since getting back, I have worn all of these outfits multiple times (except my rainy morning outfit). Now, here’s a look into what I wore in Savannah. I apologize in advance for the picture quality and sometimes the location of the picture. I’m still trying to talk B into a DSLR camera.
What I wore…
Day one, travel outfit.
Day two, exploring Wormsloe, and golf and exploring in Hilton Head.
Part one of day three, rainy morning in the park. (It poured about 10 minutes after this was taken.)
Part two of day three, after the rain stopped.
Day four, travel day.
Yes, that is my pre travel coffee. Yes, I did stay awake for the whole ride back.
You will notice a trend in my outfits. Lots of neutrals with some olive green thrown in. When I started examining my closet, I realized I had already picked olive green as the color for my fall wardrobe. One more stop toward my intentional closet goal.
